Pest Control Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Pest Control Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting buildings and premises, apartments for signs of pests, applying treatments to eliminate pests in the assigned location(s) within a multi dwelling residential buildings, houses & commercial buildings/businesses.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Inspect buildings and outside areas to identify infestation source
• Inspect infested area and determine type of treatment required
• Prepare and spray chemical mixture on infested areas using mechanical or electric tools
• Fumigate apartments
• Place, set & install traps as required
• Clean out areas that harbour pests
• Advise tenants on how to prevent pest infestation
• Ensure that all work is documented and updated according to Company’s policy, prepare and submit reports
• Other related duties as assigned by the company manager/owner

Qualifications and Requirements

• Must possess provincial pesticide applicator license
• Valid First Aid and CPR certificate will be an asset
• Pest control experience in a residential multi-family environment
• Must possess a class 5 valid driver’s license
• Must successfully complete a security clearance
• Physically fit
• Basic computer skills including use of Microsoft office (Word, Excel, outlook) will be an asset
